Korea opens new shipping route to Hai Phong port

Information from the Ulsan Port Authority said that on the morning of June 15, the first container ship Ever Chaste, with a tonnage of 17,943 tons, running the Hai Phong and Ulsan routes did arrive at Ulsan port. According to the plan, the new service operator, Evergreen Korea, is expected to operate 3 ships that call at Ulsan container port once a week.

The Ulsan Port Authority predicts this new shipping route will generate an annual throughput of around 24,000 TEUs (1 TEU = one 20-foot container) for the port of Ulsan.

Deputy CEO of Ulsan Port Authority Jeong Sun-yo said that the operator will make every effort to support the new shipping route connecting Ulsan port with Vietnam and Southeast Asia to operate stably and daily. be more expanded.

This year, from the port of Ulsan, Korea has opened two new shipping routes to the port of Penang of Malaysia and the port of Ningbo of China. As of June, the Ulsan Port Authority is operating a total of 37 container shipping routes to regions in Asia such as Southeast Asia, Japan and China.[:]
